As someone who enjoys building and hosting websites... I thought this was BRILLIANT!
BTW, I found the above video here while following a link from here while doing some research for a web design project I am currently working on.
My Interests
Submitted by Peter on Fri, 04/04/2008 - 14:45.

If you've taken a look around on this website, you'll already know that some of my 'bigger' interests already have their own dedicated pages. Things like family, motorcycles. bikes and photography deserve their own space but I do have a few other interests that I can mention here.
The items under this heading include things like Xbox 360 & Xbox Live: I enjoy playing Forza Motorsports 2, Ghost Rhecon (GRAW2) and Call of Duty 4 (COD4) at the moment.
Another interest I have is Kite flying... no not those cute little paper 'diamonds' with a tail... but 'real kites'... Sporting & stunt Kites: The kind that can pick my 100kg+ frame up off the ground! see pictures.
I'm sure there are other things I could add here but I can't think of any right now.
Web Design

Given my interest in Computers, Photography, Graphic Design and Writing (poetry, etc), it should come as no surprise that I also enjoy designing & building websites.
This website (taekema.org) is only one of a number of sites that I own and/or operate. For those that are interested, you can find out more about the 'business side of this here: Great Southern Web Design.
Most of my websites have been built using the amazing Drupal Content Management System (CMS) and run on a Debian Linux Server.
There is info about these and other helpful websites on my Links Page.
New Site Design.

I've just installed & configured another new 'theme' for my website. The latest one is called "Evening". It uses a different approach to the 'standard' 3 column layout.
I recently completed another design update called "Night Train". The 'train' (top left) is the Indian-Pacific. It's a well known sight for some of the few people who live in the barren 'outback' areas between Western and Southern Australia.
The colours were inspired by Australian Outback sunsets... and the 'warm' glow that encompasses everything as the dessert prepares for another 'sleep'.... (Note: Both of these themes look better when viewed with the freely downloadable Firefox web browser.)
You can take a look at the other theme(s) by selecting them from the drop down menu under 'Themes' (far right) and hitting Switch.
Which one do you prefer? Feel free to leave a comment or send me some feedback and let me know what you think of the design.
