The waves crash all around you
and you're tossed to and fro.

Wave after wave comes rolling in
Forcing you up on the beach.

Your shell is hard, but worn
From the battering you have taken.

Is there still life in you?

Some shells contain a hidden treasure -
A beautiful pearl, deep within their heart.

Could this be you?
Do you have some hidden value?
But who can penetrate this shell and reveal it's contents?

And do you really want to know?

There is One who can do it very gently.
He is skilled and knows the value you contain.

Let Him bring out what has long been hidden.
For this is why you are.

A pool of Living water has been set aside for you.
Stoop down and drink.

Remember the things I have done for you:
Don't take them all for granted.

Life's road will sometimes lead you
through a dessert waste land.

The springs you found have often been bitter.
But I am the Oasis you have been looking for.

Be careful not to stumble over the rocks.
Trust in Me and I will place your feet on firm ground.

You run around the valleys
And try to climb mountains in your own strength.
Don't you see how futile this is.

Follow Me! Listen carefully for My call.
It is faint, but you will perceive it:
A still small voice, heard only by a heart in tune.

Why are you carrying such a heavy load?
You're breaking your back: and for what reason?

Look up and see: A better way has been provided.
I the Lord have suffered much for you.

Reach out your hand. Receive what I would give you.
This gift is free. The price was paid in full.

Put down your load and let us walk together.
The spring you seek is only just out of view.

Trust in Me and we will share it's fruits together.

As Eagles soar high above the earth,
So I will lift you on the wings of my Spirit.

As their eyes scan the horizon in search of prey,
So you must search for the wisdom I will give.

As turbulent winds lift him higher and higher,
So My Spirit will raise you up.

Other birds of prey are also in the air,
But trust in Me and I will lift you higher.

An eagles flight is not by strength alone,
Because he knows the ways of the wind.

His cry can be heard throughout the valley.
His voice pierces the heart.

See, his flight is majestic,
As he effortlessly rests on the wind.

He is ready to dive at the first sight of prey.
He will fall from the sky with lightning speed.

Then he returns to the sky,
Out of the reach of prowling animals.

Ride on the winds like eagles in flight,
Listen carefully to the Spirits prompting.

As a young bird flapping it's wings,
You have tested their strength.

Now leap out from the nest and spread your wings wide,
And see how My Spirit will lift you up.
