Long Time Friends...
Submitted by Peter on Sun, 23/03/2008 - 20:57.

As we go through life, we meet people.... lots of different people. Most of the them are 'strangers' and will always be just that. Some of them are just 'strange'... but that's another story. Some people on our path become acquaintances, colleges, friends or even family.
Good friends (or "mates" as we prefer to call them in Australia) are not always easy to find or to hold onto over the medium to long term.
Sometimes you find a good 'mate' and even if you don't see one another often (due to work/distance/time commitments, etc) they will remain 'close' in other ways... Case in point: My mate Paul who I had not really seen much or spoken to more than 3 or 4 times in about 3 years... A couple of months ago he called me on the phone, saying that he wanted to come for a visit... which he did, and then again this weekend...
Harley Davidson

This photo was taken a while back while out doing a tour of the Stirling Ranges in the "Great Southern" area of Western Australia. When I spotted this 'scene', I had to stop and make a few photos of the Harley with the "Stirlings" in the background.
This is (unfortunately) not my bike but a friend was good enough to let me ride it for a while (he was riding my Bandit).
I love this shot!
New Site Design.
Submitted by Peter on Mon, 10/03/2008 - 23:48.
I've just installed & configured another new 'theme' for my website. The latest one is called "Evening". It uses a different approach to the 'standard' 3 column layout.
I recently completed another design update called "Night Train". The 'train' (top left) is the Indian-Pacific. It's a well known sight for some of the few people who live in the barren 'outback' areas between Western and Southern Australia.
The colours were inspired by Australian Outback sunsets... and the 'warm' glow that encompasses everything as the dessert prepares for another 'sleep'.... (Note: Both of these themes look better when viewed with the freely downloadable Firefox web browser.)
You can take a look at the other theme(s) by selecting them from the drop down menu under 'Themes' (far right) and hitting Switch.
Which one do you prefer? Feel free to leave a comment or send me some feedback and let me know what you think of the design.
